- 6 dl oats
- 4 dl wheat flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cardamom (or 2 tsp vanilla sugar)
- 1.2 liters of milk
- 4 eggs
- 100 g liquid margarine
How to:
- Place oats and half of the milk in a mixing bowl. Let the oats soak for about 10 minutes while you measure the rest of the ingredients.
- In a separate container, combine wheat flour, salt, cardamom/vanilla sugar, and baking powder.
- In another container, mix the remaining milk, liquid margarine, and eggs until well combined.
- Once the oats have swelled to a thick consistency, add the dry ingredients to the oats and mix well using a hand mixer, while gradually adding the wet ingredients.
- Grease the waffle iron generously with butter and ladle in a small portion of waffle batter. Cook the waffles until they turn golden brown. Remember to grease the waffle iron between each waffle.
